Erik Bonn -Erik was born and raised in Newport Beach, CA, moving to Oregon in the fall of 2008 to study at the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, Erik was fortunate enough to be a part of the baseball team from its inaugural season in 2009 through its Super Regional run in 2012. In the fall of 2014, after a brief stint back in Southern California, Erik returned to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon School of Law, graduating Order of the Coif in the Spring of 2017. Upon graduation from Law School, Erik joined the law firm of Gleaves Swearingen in Eugene, Oregon, where he has since become a partner in the firm’s business law group.
Erik enjoys exploring the great outdoors of Oregon through hiking, camping, snowboarding and golfing and spending time with his wife, Mary Fontenot (an elementary school teacher at Edgewood Elementary), and his dog Jax. When not out enjoying the beauty of Oregon, Erik spends much of his time giving back to the community by serving on the board of directors of Forests Today and Forever, chairing the executive committee of the Oregon New Lawyers Division, leading the Lane County Bar Association’s New Lawyer Committee and volunteering throughout the year at various charity events.
As a former Duck athlete, Erik is passionate about the success of all Oregon athletic teams, both on and off the field. For the past few years, Erik has volunteered as a mentor to several Duck athletes through the Athletic Department’s Mentor Program and has volunteered as a tutor at the Jacqua Center.

Chad McDermott - Born and raised in Eugene/Springfield I’ve been an Oregon Duck fan my whole life, from Bellotti to Lanning I’ve been loyal through all the ups and downs. Despite my love for Oregon Football, my earliest UO memories are of spending long summer afternoons at Hayward field watching Oregon Track and Field events while my grandmother volunteered on the hurdle crew. Being part of the Oregon Club’s board means that I can give back to a program that was highly influential to me as a child. GO DUCKS!
Valerie Sharr - Valerie Sharr is an Account Manager for WCP Solutions (Need paper? She’s got you!) as well as a Principal Owner at Sip and Seams, allowing her to quench her thirst for philanthropic endeavors.
After joining the Association of Junior League International in 2012, a non-profit organization devoted to volunteerism and issues surrounding women and at-risk youth, Valerie quickly developed a passion for community service. You can find her volunteering with many organizations about town as well as on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley. Additionally, as a 2015-16 graduate from Leadership Eugene-Springfield, she steer-heads the Alumni Engagement for this 38 year old program.
In her off time, Valerie enjoys spectator sports, especially supporting the University of Oregon and the Oregon Club, thrifting and chasing the sun. She is engaged, has two adult children, two grandchildren, and a cat named “Kitten." Her favorite former Ducks are (in no particular order - or is it?): Melissa Koke, Bev Smith, Jonathan Stewart, Blair Rasmussen and Dan Fouts.
